Suzuki Violin and Viola Teacher

I teach Suzuki violin and viola and have ten years of teaching experience in elementary, middle and high schools, university, and private studio. I have taught in Houston, Texas for the past eight years, but have recently moved to Richmond, Virginia. I'm commuting to Houston to continue working with my Houston students, but am expanding my studio to include Richmond students as well.

The Suzuki Method uses a noncompetetive, supportive atmosphere to inspire children to develop a high level of musical ability. Parents, children and teachers work together to develop musical and social skills, confidence, and the cognitive abilities that children also use in their non-musical studies and activities. Parents need not have prior musical experience, but must attend all lessons, and learn how to work with their children during their daily practice sessions at home.

I am currently accepting new students in Richmond, Virginia at all playing levels. The ideal age for beginners is 3-6, but I will consider teaching a dedicated older beginner. Older students with previous experience are also welcome.
